Fairhaven is situated just a few minutes away from the beautiful town and seafront of Ryde, known as the ‘gateway’ to the Island.

Our expertly trained and professional staff are dedicated to the care and comfort of all our residents, specialising in particular with dementia care patients and those needing care with Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s and Parkinson’s Disease.

Every resident benefits from their own spacious and private bedroom equipped with an en suite. There are shared rooms available where couples may choose to live together whilst receiving the care and support they both need.

Fairhaven has a lovely open plan living space and quiet lounge which backs onto the beautiful dementia friendly garden, where our residents benefit from our private and secure landscaped garden for peaceful relaxation, gardening and if the weather permits, gentle exercising. Fairhaven has a vibrant atmosphere throughout the home where the staff carry out a programme of activities on a daily basis.

Our residents are taken on trips to visit the local garden centres, beaches and shops, as well as places such as Butterfly World and Monkey Haven. As part of our wellbeing activities we include a whole range of animal therapy, where our residents can pat animals such as ponies. donkeys, tortoises and guinea pigs. There are community activities where the children from the local school come and sing to our residents and we also have ‘Themed’ days where we support ‘Red Nose’ day and ‘Children in Need’.

As well as this, we like to celebrate marked occasions, such as birthdays and Valentine’s days where husbands and wives can have a special meal together.

Within the home there are opportunities for our residents to visit the hairdresser and have beauty treatments such as hand massage and nail painting as well as Chiropody treatments.
